CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION

Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky. God is the giver of good things.

GOD – THE GIVER OF GOOD THINGS

God who gives us good things gives His Son and His Spirit to dwell in us, to change our hearts and minds. His kindness and love lead us to repentance.

EVIDENCE OF GOD’S GOODNESS

God is good because he loves us and wants what’s best for us. His goodness is demonstrated through his actions toward us.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God creates different things on different days –

The first day – Light was created.

The second day – The sky was created.

The third day – Dryland, seas, plants and trees were created.

The fourth day – The Sun, Moon and stars were created.

The fifth day – creatures that live in the sea and creatures that fly were created.

In fact, we see evidence of God’s goodness everyday. We see it in the sun rising each morning, in the rain falling from the sky, and in the flowers blooming in our gardens.
