The pupils can state basic safety precautions.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
Security is the protection from all form crimes or dangers. It is also freedom from from fear, anxiety, danger, doubt, threat, etc. Security is something that gives or assures safety at all time.
MEANING OF SECURITY PRECAUTIONS
Security precaution is an action taken to prevent crime, threats or attacks on our lives and prosperities.
EXAMPLES OF SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Do not talk to strangers.
2. Do not open the door to strangers.
3. Think fast and act smart.
4. Report any strange and suspicious movement.
LESSON 2 – EXAMPLES OF SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
5. Always keep your loved ones informed about your movement.
6. Do not keep valuable items near windows.
7. Stay in well-lighted areas.
8. Keep your doors closed and locked.
9. Avoid lifts from strangers.
10. Always keep an object for self defense.
LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT
As stated in performance objectives or lesson evaluation.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps – he/she,
1. Teacher revises the previous lesson based on the pupil’s related knowledge or experience.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in lesson review.
2. Teacher orgainzes the pupils into groups depending on the size of the class.
3. Teacher asks the pupils, why do you close your windows, turn off all the electrical appliances and lock the door to your house when you are going out?
Pupils Activities – The pupils state the reasons why taken some of theses actions.
4. Teacher uses the pupils relevant responses to introduce the lesson and leads a class discussion on the meaning of security precaution.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils pay attention to the lesson introduction and participate actively in class discussions.
5. Teacher guides the pupils to state and discuss actions to taken as security precaution.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils state and discuss actions to taken as security precaution.
6. Summarizes the lesson on the board using lesson evaluation.
