CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTION

In the previous lesson, pupils learned that security information helps people identify danger and stay safe. There are many types of security information that people see and use every day.

For example, warning signs tell people about danger, road safety information helps prevent accidents, fire safety information helps people respond to fires, and emergency contact information helps people get help quickly.

In this lesson, pupils will learn about more security information and their functions and how these types of information help to protect people and property.

LESSON 1 – MEANING OF SECURITY INFORMATION

Security information is information that helps people identify danger, stay safe, protect lives and property, and know what to do during emergencies.

MORE SECURITY INFORMATION AND THEIR FUNCTIONS

1. Warning Signs

Warning signs give information about possible danger.

Function: They warn people to be careful and avoid danger.

2. Road Safety Information

This includes information about road signs, traffic lights, speed limits, and other road safety rules.
