CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTION

People live together in different communities called neighbourhoods. Everyone wants to live in a place where people are safe, homes are protected, and children can go to school without fear. This is why neighbourhood security is important. It helps to protect lives and property and encourages people to work together to prevent crime and maintain peace.

In this lesson, pupils will learn the meaning of neighbourhood security, its aims, objectives, importance, and how they can help keep their neighbourhood safe.

LESSON 1 – MEANING OF NEIGHBOURHOOD

A neighbourhood is the area where people live together as a community.

MEANING OF NEIGHBOURHOOD SECURITY

Neighbourhood security means keeping people, homes, schools, and property safe within a community. It involves everyone working together to prevent crime and maintain peace.

AIMS OF NEIGHBOURHOOD SECURITY
