TOPIC – INTRODUCTION TO TANWIN

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. pronounce Tanwin with different vowels.

2. copy letters with Tanwin.

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of Chart containing different alphabets with vowel sounds.

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – 

Tanwin is the nunation of the Arabic short vowels.

Tanwin is the double Arabic short Arabic. ‎

 

تَنوِين

 

The Tanwin is an “n” sound added to the end of the word indicating an indefinite noun.

 

LESSON 2 – TYPES OF TANWIN

There are three types of tanwin:

1. Fatha Tanwin

Fathatan sounds ‘an’

 

2. Kasra Tanwin

Kasratan sounds ‘in’

 

3. Dhamma Tanwin

Dhammatan sounds ‘un’

Kasratan

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Displays chart showing Tanwin.

3. Points and pronounces the Tanwin.

Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the pronunciation of the Tanwin.

4. Guides the pupils to pronounce the Tanwin many times.

Pupil’s Activities – Repeat the pronunciation many times.

5. Explains Tanwin as in the content.

Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the teacher’s explanation and explain.

6. Summarizes the lesson on the board.

Pupil’s Activities – Copy as instructed.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
