The children can identify and state the uses of soap, towel, etc.

The teacher will the lesson with the aid of chart showing materials used for skin care.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTION
Skin is the outer layer that cover of our body. The skin protects our bodies from germs, injuries, and extremes of hot or cold. Our skin is an important part of our bodies.
HOW TO CARE FOR THE SKIN
Our skin is our body, it is very important to care for our skins properly and regularly such as –
1. Bath regularly.
2. Stay from the sun and rain.
3. Water a clean cloth.
4. Don’t walk without wearing your shoes.
5. Use cap or umbrella during the sunny day.
6. Use umbrella when rain is falling.
7. Drink more water.
8. Play gently.
MATERIALS USED FOR THE CARE OF THE SKIN
The following are the materials we need to take care of our skins,
1. Sponge
2. Soap
3. Body cream
4. Hair cream
5. Towel
6. Water
LESSON PRESENTATION
To deliver this lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson based on what he/she has taught and what the children have learnt, then adopts the following steps:
1. Teacher displays samples or chart showing the materials used for taken care of skin.
2. Teacher points each material on the chart for the children to identity and demonstrate their uses.
Children’s Activities – The children identify materials such as soap, sponge, body and hair cream, etc. and state their uses.
3. Teacher uses the chart to introduce lesson and explains the uses of each material used for the care of the body.
Children’s Activities – The children pay attention to the lesson introduction, listen to the teacher and appreciate the importance of soap, sponge, towel, etc. used for the care of the skin.
4. Teacher summarizes the lesson by asking the children questions based on the lesson taught and gives the children work to do at home.
Children’s Activities – The children participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding to the questions and do their homework at home.
