CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
A simple machine is a device that makes work easy.
EXAMPLES OF SIMPLE MACHINES
The examples of simple machines are as follows:
1. Broom
2. Spoon
3. Seesaw
4. Hoe
5. Cutlass, etc.
LESSON 2 – IMPORTANCE OF SIMPLE MACHINES
A simple machine make work easier and it is very important for
1. eating foods, e.g. spoon and fork.
2. cutting e.g. Knife, cutlass, axe, scissor, etc.
3. sweeping and dusting cobweb e.g. broom
4. grinding e.g. blender, grinder stone, mortar and pestle, etc.
5. carry e.g. bucket, basket, wheelbarrow, etc.
6. fetching water e.g. bucket, etc.
8. hanging clothes e.g. hanger
9. fastening objects together e.g. rope, chain, etc.
10. hitting e.g. hammer, stone, etc.
LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST)
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions.
