By the end of the lesson, the children should to,

1. explain the meaning of orderliness.

2. identify simple ways to keep their home neat and organized.

3. list common tasks that show orderliness, such as arranging toys and keeping items in their proper places.

4. demonstrate proper organization through roleplay.

The children know how to arrange some of their things in order.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

WHAT IS ORDERLINESS?

Orderliness means keeping things clean and neat by putting them in their proper places.

Orderliness at home means keeping the house clean, organized, and well-managed. It involves everyone in the family behaving responsibly, maintaining cleanliness, following routines, and taking care of personal and shared belongings.

 

ORDERLINESS AT HOME 

At home, we must keep our things clean and neat by putting them in their proper places. That’s,  keeping the house clean, organized, and well-managed. It involves everyone in the family behaving responsibly, maintaining cleanliness, following routines, and taking care of personal and shared belongings.

 

IMPORTANCE OF ORDERLINESS AT HOME 

1. It makes our home look attractive and beautiful.

2. When things are in their proper places, it’s easier to find what you need.

3. It prevents diseases, accidents, and injuries at home.

4. It ease our work at home.

5. It gives us peace of mind.

6. It makes it easier for family members to relax and feel comfortable.

7. Family members learn to take care of their own things and help with chores.

8. Working together to keep our home in order builds teamwork and cooperation.

9. Encourages respect for shared spaces.

10. It teaches us self-discipline and good habits.

 

EXAMPLES OF ORDERLINESS AT HOME 

At home, you can be orderly by,

1. arrange your clothes and shoes properly.

2. keep the bathroom clean and dry.

3. putting your toys back where they belong or arrange toys in a box after playing.

4. keep your books back inside school bag.

5. put your clothes in the laundry basket after school.

6. put dirty clothes in a laundry basket.

7. sweep the floor to keep it clean.

8. make your bed every morning.

9. washing dishes after meals.

10. doing chores like sweeping, mopping, or taking out the trash.

11. follow your daily routine for meals, study, and rest.

12. be a good boys and girls at home.

 

LESSON PRESENTATION

To deliver this lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson based on what he/she taught or what the children have learned.

2. Teacher displays chart showing a clean and neat home. Also, displays chart showing a dirty home.

3. Teacher lets the children to examine and identify the difference two (2) charts.

Children’s Activities – The children identify and mention the difference between the two (2) homes.

4. Teacher uses the chart and the children relevant responses to introduce the lesson, explain the meaning and importance of orderliness.

Children’s Activities – The children pay attention to the lesson introduction to understand and appreciate the importance of orderliness.

5. Teacher guides the children to identify and demonstrate some of the examples of orderliness at home.

Children’s Activities – The children state and demonstrate some of the examples of orderliness at home.

6. Teacher summarizes the lesson in a very simple sentence, asks the children questions based on the lesson taught and gives the children work to do at home.

Children’s Activities – The children participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding to the questions and do their homework at home.
