BEHAVIOUR OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, the children should understand the meaning and importance of self awareness.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR 

The children know how to support they parents at home.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS 

The teacher will the lesson with the aid of sample/chart showing simple task that the children can perform at home.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

WHAT IS SELF AWARENESS? 

Self-awareness is the ability to know and understand your own thoughts, feelings, and actions. It can also include being aware of how others perceive you.

 

WHAT DOES SELF-AWARENESS INCLUDE?

1. Understanding your emotions.

2. Understanding your strengths and weaknesses.

3. Knowing how you interact with others.

4. knowing your habits and how they affect others.

5. Understanding what you need and being able to communicate it to others.

6. Understanding the needs and feelings of others, and how your behavior affects them.

 

WHY IS SELF-AWARENESS IMPORTANT?

1. It can help you make better decisions.

2. It can help you be more proactive and accepting.

3. It can help you develop a growth mindset and learn from your mistakes.

4. It can help you improve your self-esteem and self-confidence.

 

LESSON PRESENTATION

To deliver this lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Teacher displays showing a child in front of a mirror or hang a mirror for the children to see themselves and describe how they look.

Children’s Activities – The children identity and describe how they look and feel in the mirror.

2. Teacher uses the mirror/chart and the children relevant responses to introduce the lesson and explain the concept of self awareness.

Children’s Activities – The children pay attention to the lesson introduction and lesson attentively the teacher’s explanation.

3. Teacher summarizes the lesson by asking the children questions based on the lesson taught and gives the children work to do at home.

Children’s Activities – The children participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding to the questions and do their homework at home.

Teacher asks the children, self awareness is to,
