2. draw the stave and clef signs of music.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Displays a chart of clef and stave the pupils to observe and draw.

 

MEANING OF CLEF 

A clef is a musical symbol used indicates the pitch of the written notes on the staff.

 

MEANING OF STAVE  (STAFF) 

A staff is a set of lines and spaces which indicate the pitch of written notes.

It is made up of five lines and four spaces.

The lines and spaces have letter names.

 

SINGING A SONG – THIS Is THE WAY I DRAW MY CLEF 

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Asks the pupils to describe how they drawn their clef through song.

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Observe and draw Clef and Stave.

3. Discusses the meaning of Clef and Stave in music.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the discussion.

4. Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Singing, this is the way I draw my Clef.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
