3. understand the why obedience is important for their safety and learning.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
WHAT IS OBEDIENCE?
Obedience means doing what you are told to do. That’s, doing what your parents, teachers, and elders ask you told. When you are willing to do what you are told to do, it means you are an obedient child.
Obedient child obeys rules and regulations while disobedient child disobeys rules and regulations.
IMPORTANCE OF OBEYING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. It keeps you out of trouble and dangers.
2. It gives you the respect that you deserve.
3. It gives all the necessary support whenever you need them.
4. It enables people to lookout for you.
5. It give you confidence.
6. It makes me enjoy life in fullness.
7. It shows you respect your parents, teachers, elders and the authorities.
THE CONSEQUENCES OF DISOBEDIENCE
Disobedience is not doing what you are told to do. When you don’t obey, it means you are a disobedient child.
1. Disobedience gets you into a trouble and dangers.
2. Disobedience makes people to hate you. Nobody loves a disobedience child.
3. Disobedience makes people to stay away from you.
4. Disobedience makes you to be alone and afraid.
5. Disobedience shows that you don’t respect your parents, teachers, elders and the authorities.
In summary, most of the disobedience children are in the prison, some have lost their lives in the act. Some are not the same as they should be. Some are in the rehabilitation centre. It is better obey simple rules and regulations than to regret later.
LESSON PRESENTATION
To deliver this lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson based on what he/she taught or what the children have learned.
2. Teacher displays chart showing an obedient child that obey and listen to his/her parents, teachers and the elders. A disobedient child that disobey.
3. Teacher lets the children to examine, identify the children on the chart and describe their attitudes.
Children’s Activities – The children identify the children behaviour and describe them.
4. Teacher uses the chart and the children relevant responses to introduce the lesson, explain the meaning and importance of obedience.
Children’s Activities – The children pay attention to the lesson introduction to understand and appreciate the importance of obedience at home and in the school.
5. Teacher uses the chart showing the consequences of disobedience to explain why we must obey the rules and regulations.
Children’s Activities – The children understand the reasons why obedience is very important at home and in the school.
6. Teacher uses poem to demonstrate how to become an obedient child.
Children’s Activities – The children demonstrate and describe the simple ways of obey the rules and regulations.
7. Teacher summarizes the lesson in a very simple sentence, asks the children questions based on the lesson taught and gives the children work to do at home.
Children’s Activities – The children participate actively in the summary of the lesson by responding to the questions and do their homework at home.
