By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

1. imitate movements and sounds made by people, animals and machines.

2. demonstrate different movement patterns.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES 

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Guides the pupils to demonstrate the following movements –

1. Bending

2. Crawling

3. Galloping

4. Climbing, etc.

MOVEMENTS AND SOUNDS 

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Plans with a pupil in any upper classes that’s good in march pass commands while you are outside the class with pupils and observe their responses to the March Pass Commander.

Encourages the pupils and ask them some questions with respect to the command calls – left x3, left right… Right or left turn…

Teacher’s remark – Movements and sounds, sometimes cannot be separated. We make sound while walking and we move because of sound. We move because of emergency sound, etc.

 

DIFFERENT MOVEMENTS AND SOUNDS MADE BY ANIMALS, PEOPLE, AND MACHINES

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Guides the pupils to identify and demonstrate different movements and sounds made by –

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Explains and demonstrates the movement rhythms and patterns.

Pupil’s Activities – Listen and imitate teachers demonstration.

3. Supervises the pupils practice and makes corrections.

Pupil’s Activities –

• Practice different movement patterns.

• Participate in demonstration.

 

CONCLUSION

• To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
