LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. explain what an oral composition is.
2. describe a visit to a village or an interesting experience.
3. speak fluently using simple sentences.
4. arrange ideas in correct order (beginning, middle, and end).
5. use correct vocabulary in oral expression.
ENTRY BEHAVIOUR
The pupils have practised speaking about familiar events and experiences. In this lesson, they will use that knowledge to give an oral description of a visit to a village or an interesting experience.

INTRODUCTION
An oral composition is a spoken description of an event, place, or experience in correct and clear sentences.

Oral Composition (Narrative): A Visit to My Village
Last holiday, I visited my village with my parents. We travelled by bus early in the morning. The journey was long but interesting because I saw many trees, rivers, and small towns.
When we arrived, my grandparents welcomed us warmly. I saw big farms and animals like goats and chickens. I also helped my grandfather on the farm.
In the evening, we sat outside and listened to stories from the elders. I enjoyed my visit to the village very much.

My first day in school was an exciting experience. I went to school with my parents early in the morning. I was a little nervous because everything was new to me.
When I entered the classroom, I saw many pupils sitting neatly. My teacher welcomed me warmly and asked me to sit down. I made new friends and we played together during break time.
I enjoyed my first day in school because everyone was friendly and kind to me. It was a memorable day in my life.

Oral Composition (Description): How to Cook Rice
To cook rice, you first wash the rice very well with clean water. After washing, you put the rice in a pot. Then you add enough water and a little salt.
Next, you place the pot on the fire or stove and allow it to boil. You stir it from time to time so that it does not burn. When the rice becomes soft, you remove it from the fire.
Finally, you serve the rice and enjoy your meal.
