PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –
1. identify types of clothing items.
2. mention reasons for wearing clothes and foot wears.
3. state the reasons for airing, hanging and storing clothes properly.
4. mention the tools/materials required for taking care of personal clothing.

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
1. Display different types of articles of clothing and footwear.
2. A chart showing different kinds of clothing and footwears.
3. Real objects e.g. clothes, pegs, hangers, rope for making clothe line.
METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Displays a variety of personal clothing and footwear items the pupils to identify and state the reasons for wearing clothes and footwear.

Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Discuss the reasons for airing, hanging and storing clothes and footwear. Notes the pupil’s points on the board.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Displays a variety of personal clothing/footwear items.
3. Produces a chart of a variety of personal clothing items.
4. Discusses the reasons for airing, hanging and storing clothes/footwear properly.
5. Provides pictures of people of various professions in their occupational clothing.
CONCLUSION
- To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
