1. EXPOSITORY ESSAY: SAFE WATER
Safe water is water that is clean and free from germs and harmful substances. It is very important for human health and daily living. People need safe water for drinking, cooking, washing, and bathing.
Safe water helps to prevent diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and dysentery. When people drink dirty water, they can become very sick. Therefore, it is important to always use clean water.
Water can be made safe by boiling it, filtering it, or treating it with chemicals. It should also be stored in clean containers to avoid contamination.
Governments and communities should ensure that clean water is available for everyone. People should also avoid polluting water sources like rivers and wells.
In conclusion, safe water is very important for good health and survival. Everyone should make sure they use and protect clean water at all times.
2. EXPOSITORY ESSAY: THE WATER CYCLE
The water cycle is the continuous movement of water from the earth to the atmosphere and back to the earth again. It is a natural process that helps to maintain water balance on the earth.
The first stage of the water cycle is evaporation. The sun heats water from rivers, seas, and lakes, turning it into water vapour which rises into the atmosphere. The second stage is condensation. At this stage, the water vapour cools and changes into tiny water droplets, forming clouds in the sky.
The third stage is precipitation. When the clouds become heavy, water falls back to the earth as rain, snow, or hail. The final stage is collection. The water collects in rivers, lakes, oceans, and on the ground, and the cycle continues again.
The water cycle is very important because it provides rain for plants, animals, and human beings. It also helps in farming and keeps the environment balanced.
In conclusion, the water cycle is a natural and continuous process that is very important for life on earth.
3. EXPOSITORY ESSAY: THE PROCESS OF PHOTOSYNTHESIS
Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants make their own food using sunlight. It takes place in the leaves of plants, especially in the presence of chlorophyll, which gives leaves their green colour.
The process of photosynthesis begins when a plant absorbs water from the soil through its roots. The water is then transported to the leaves. The leaves also take in carbon dioxide from the air through tiny openings called stomata.
When sunlight shines on the leaves, the chlorophyll traps the sunlight energy. This energy is used to combine water and carbon dioxide to produce food for the plant in the form of glucose. During this process, oxygen is also released into the air.
Photosynthesis is very important because it provides food for plants and oxygen for living things. Without photosynthesis, humans and animals would not survive.
In conclusion, photosynthesis is a natural process that helps green plants to make food and supports life on earth.
