LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR
The pupils can already read short passages and answer simple questions. This lesson will help them improve their reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension through a paragraph from a children’s novel.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
READING PASSAGE: A Visit to the Forest
One Saturday morning, Tola and her friends went on a school excursion to a nearby forest. They were excited because it was their first visit to such a place. As they walked through the forest, they saw tall trees, colourful birds, and playful monkeys jumping from one branch to another.
Their guide explained the importance of protecting forests and caring for animals. Tola listened carefully and asked many questions. Before leaving, the pupils picked up litter they found on the ground to keep the environment clean.
At the end of the trip, Tola felt happy because she had learned many new things about nature and the environment.
