ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

This lesson builds on that knowledge by introducing recreation, which includes enjoyable activities people do during their free time to relax, have fun, refresh the body and mind, and maintain good health. Recreation supports both physical fitness and emotional well-being.

Everyone needs time to relax after work, school, or exercise. Taking part in enjoyable activities during free time helps people feel happy, healthy, and refreshed. Such enjoyable activities are called recreation.
In this lesson, pupils will learn the meaning of recreation, the components of recreation, and the benefits of participating in recreational activities.
LESSON 1 – MEANING OF RECREATION
Recreation is any enjoyable activity people do during their free time to relax, have fun, refresh their body and mind, and improve their health.
COMPONENTS OF RECREATION
1. Indoor Recreation
Indoor recreation includes activities that are done inside a building or room.
Examples of Indoor Recreation:
- Ludo

2. Outdoor Recreation
Outdoor recreation includes activities that are done outside in open spaces.
Examples of Outdoor Recreation:

Active recreation involves activities that require body movement and physical exercise.
