CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTION

Pupils sometimes see people behaving strangely in their neighbourhood, such as someone hiding around houses, trying to enter a building secretly, or asking children to follow them. They may also notice abandoned bags or objects in public places. Such movements and activities may be signs of danger and should never be ignored.

In this lesson, pupils will learn the meaning of suspicious movement, identify suspicious activities in the neighbourhood, and learn the correct ways to respond to keep themselves and others safe.

LESSON 1 – MEANING OF SUSPICIOUS MOVEMENT

Suspicious movement is any unusual or strange behaviour or movement that may threaten the safety of people or property.

MEANING OF SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES

Suspicious activities are actions that seem unusual, unsafe, or likely to cause harm.

Examples of Suspicious Activities in the Neighbourhood

1. A stranger hiding around houses.

2. Someone trying to break into a building.

3. A person carrying dangerous weapons.

4. Someone stealing or damaging property.

5. People fighting or causing violence.

6. A person asking children to follow them.

7. Someone moving around secretly at odd hours.

LESSON 2 – WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU NOTICE SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES
