CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES

Teacher’s Activities – Review the previous lesson on two letter words – Two Letter Words – Sound and Spelling Part 1 | Workbook/Weekly Assessment Nursery 2 (Age 4) – Letter Work and ensure active participation of each child.

Pupil’s Activities – Recite and pronounce two letter words previously learnt.

Teacher’s remark – One clap for yourself and comment. Introduce more two letter words with the children.

LESSON 2 – TRACING TWO LETTER WORDS 

Repeat the activities in lesson 1 until the children blend the letters with ease. Guide them to trace two letter words correctly.

 

 

LESSON 3 – SENTENCES WITH TWO LETTER WORDS 

Make simple sentences with two letter words.

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Introduces vowel with consonant structure. For example – w – e, we.

Pupil’s Activities – Follow the teacher’s instructions.

3. Guides children to write thorough training two letter words or any other simple means.

Pupil’s Activities – Tracing two letter words.

4. Forms sentences with only two letter words.

Pupil’s Activities – Repeat after the teacher.

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
