INTRODUCTION
Water is a liquid. A good water is clean, clear, and safe to drink. Apart from drinking, we use water for cooking, bathing, brushing our teeth, toileting, planting, washing, etc.
WATER IN OUR BODIES
Water in the body is very important to everyone because it keeps us strong and healthy. Our body is mostly made of water. Water in our bodies is in form blood, sweet and urine.
Water in the body helps our bodies do a lot of things, like moving food to our cells, keeping us cool when we’re hot, and helping our bodies get rid of waste.
HOW OUR BODY USES WATER
1. It helps your body work – Water is part of the blood, which carries food and oxygen to all your cells so they can do their jobs.
2. It keeps you cool – When you get warm, your body sweats, and the water in the sweat helps cool you down.
3. It helps you get rid of waste – Water helps your body get rid of things it doesn’t need, like when you pee or poop.
4. It helps you eat and digest – Water is needed for saliva to mix with food and for your stomach to break down food properly.
5. It helps you feel better – Water helps keep your mouth, nose, and eyes moist, and it can even help you feel less tired.
Finally, think of water like the “lifeblood” of your body, keeping everything running smoothly.
