CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTION

God created all people and gives everyone life. Although people may have different backgrounds, languages and religions, we all belong to one human family because God is the Creator and Father of all.

As members of one family, we should show love, respect, kindness and cooperation towards one another. We should also learn to live peacefully with people who belong to different religions.

In this lesson, pupils will learn about God as the Father and Creator of all, right attitudes towards one another as members of one family, and the importance of living in peace regardless of religion.

MEANING OF “WE ARE CHILDREN OF ONE FATHER”

“We Are Children of One Father” means that God is the Father and Creator of all human beings. He created everyone and gives us life. Therefore, all people belong to one human family.

Although people may differ in religion, language, culture, tribe, or background, we should love, respect, and care for one another as members of one family.

GOD AS THE FATHER AND CREATOR OF ALL

1. God created all human beings.

5. We should respect every person because God created them.

RIGHT ATTITUDES TOWARDS ONE ANOTHER

As children of one Father, we should show:

IMPORTANCE OF LIVING IN PEACE REGARDLESS OF RELIGION

Living peacefully with people of different religions:

6. encourages mutual respect and understanding; and

7. helps communities to develop and progress.

Key Point:We are all children of one Father, God. Therefore, we should love, respect, care for, and live peacefully with everyone, regardless of their religion or background.
