CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTION

When someone speaks to us, we are expected to listen carefully and respond appropriately. In the same way, when God speaks to us, we should pay attention and respond in the right way.

God speaks to guide, teach, warn, correct and encourage us. We should therefore show good attitudes when receiving His message.

In this lesson, pupils will learn the meaning of attitude, appropriate attitudes to show when God speaks to us, and reasons why God speaks to us.

LESSON 1 – MEANING OF ATTITUDE

Attitude is the way a person thinks, feels or behaves towards someone or something.

When God speaks to us, we should have a good attitude by listening carefully and responding positively to His message.

APPROPRIATE ATTITUDES WHEN GOD SPEAKS TO US

We should show the following attitudes when God speaks to us:

1. Listening: We should listen carefully to God’s message.

2. Respect: We should treat God’s message with seriousness and respect.

3. Faith: We should believe and trust God.

4. Obedience: We should obey God’s instructions.

5. Humility: We should accept God’s instructions without pride.

6. Prayer: We should pray for understanding and guidance.
