INTRODUCTION

Non living things are anything without life such as materials – objects or body.

Non living things are anything which cannot grow, move, breathe and reproduce.

CLASSIFICATION OF NON LIVING

Non living things can be classified as –

1. Metal Materials – iron

2. Non – Metal Materials – wood, paper, water, etc.

IMPORTANCE (USES) OF METAL METAL MATERIALS 

METAL MATERIALS 

Metallic materials are any materials that contain the metal elements in their raw form.

For example, materials like iron, lead or copper.

These materials are useful materials because of their strength, toughness and stiffness and they are used for the following,

1. Tools

2. Packaging

3. Weapons

4. Transportation

5. Defence

6. Electric conductors

7. Beautification

8. Jewelleries

9. Construction, etc.

IMPORTANCE (USES) OF NON METAL MATERIALS 

Non metallic materials are materials that do not contain any metal substances in them.

For example, materials like plastic, paper, cloth, wood, etc. that have no metallic content and they are used for the following,

5. Defence

6. Electrical insulators

7. Beautification

8. Jewelleries

9. Construction, etc.
