ENTRY BEHAVIOUR
Pupils have previously learned the meaning, types, and importance of creative rhythmic activities. They also identified activities such as singing games, action songs, folk dance, creative dance, aerobic dance, and marching activities.
This lesson builds on that knowledge by giving pupils the opportunity to practically demonstrate these creative rhythmic activities while following music, songs, clapping, or drumbeats and working cooperatively with their classmates.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTION
Have you noticed that your body naturally wants to move when you hear music or a drumbeat? Moving your body in time with music is enjoyable and also helps to keep you fit and active.
In today’s lesson, pupils will practically demonstrate creative rhythmic activities such as marching, clapping, action songs, singing games, folk dance, creative dance, and aerobic dance. These activities will help improve coordination, balance, flexibility, teamwork, confidence, and physical fitness while making learning fun.
PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATION OF CREATIVE RHYTHMIC ACTIVITIES
The teacher guides pupils to perform different creative rhythmic activities while following the beat of music, songs, clapping, or a drum.
LESSON 1 (DAY 1)
1. Marching Activity
- Stand upright with your head facing forward.
- March in place to the beat of a drum or music.
- Swing your arms naturally.
- March forward, backward, left, and right while keeping the rhythm.
2. Clapping Rhythm
- Stand with your feet slightly apart.
- Clap your hands slowly to the teacher’s count (1, 2, 3, 4).
- Increase the speed while maintaining the rhythm.
- Combine clapping with simple foot movements.
3. Action Song
- Sing a familiar action song.
- Perform the body actions that match the words of the song.
- Coordinate hand and leg movements with the rhythm.
LESSON 2 – DAY 2
4. Singing Game
- Form a circle with classmates.
- Sing while moving around the circle.
- Follow the instructions in the song by clapping, jumping, or changing direction.
5. Folk Dance
- Listen carefully to the drumbeat or traditional music.
- Perform simple traditional dance steps.
- Dance in pairs or groups while maintaining the rhythm.
6. Creative Dance
- Listen to the music.
- Create your own simple dance movements.
- Move your arms, legs, and body freely while keeping to the rhythm.
LESSON 3 – DAY 3
7. Aerobic Dance
Perform simple continuous movements to lively music, such as:
- Jumping
- Side stepping
- Knee lifting
- Arm swinging
- Gentle jogging in place
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS DURING CREATIVE RHYTHMIC ACTIVITIES
1. Wear comfortable sports clothing and shoes.
2. Perform activities in an open and safe environment.
3. Warm up before beginning the activities.
4. Follow the teacher’s instructions carefully.
