EXAMPLES OF GUIDED SPEECH MAKING

1. MY SCHOOL

Good morning my teacher and my fellow pupils.

My name is __________. I am a pupil of Primary Six.

My school is a very good place for learning. It has many classrooms, teachers, and pupils. My teachers are kind and hardworking. They teach us different subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Basic Science.

My school also has rules that help us behave well. We respect our teachers and obey school rules. I love my school because it helps me to become a better person.

Thank you.

2. WHY SHOULD WE RECYCLE?

Good morning my teacher and my fellow pupils.

My name is __________. Today, I am going to talk about why we should recycle.

Recycling means reusing waste materials to make new useful products. We should recycle because it helps to reduce waste in our environment. When we recycle paper, plastic, and metal, our surroundings become cleaner and healthier.

Recycling also helps to protect the environment. It reduces pollution of land, water, and air. It also saves natural resources like trees and water.

Another reason why we should recycle is that it creates jobs for people. Many people earn a living from collecting and processing waste materials.

Finally, recycling helps to make the world a better place for everyone to live in.

In conclusion, we should all make recycling a habit because it keeps our environment clean and protects our future.

Thank you.

3. HOW CAN WE SAVE WATER

Good morning my teacher and my fellow pupils.

My name is __________. Today, I am going to talk about how we can save water.

Water is very important for life, and we should use it carefully. We can save water by turning off taps when we are not using them. We should also avoid wasting water when bathing, washing plates, or brushing our teeth.

Another way to save water is by fixing leaking pipes and taps. A leaking tap wastes a lot of water if not repaired quickly.

We should also reuse water when possible, such as using water from washing vegetables to water plants. We should also avoid polluting rivers and streams so that water remains clean and useful.

In conclusion, saving water is very important for everyone. If we save water today, we will have enough water for the future.

Thank you.

4. WHAT TO DO TO PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT

Good morning my teacher and my fellow pupils.

My name is __________. Today, I am going to talk about what to do to protect our environment.

Our environment includes the air, water, land, plants, and animals around us. We must protect it so that we can live healthy lives.

We can protect our environment by keeping it clean. We should not throw rubbish on the ground but put it in waste bins. We should also plant trees because trees help to make the air clean.

We should avoid burning waste materials because it causes air pollution. We must also stop polluting rivers and streams so that water can remain safe for use.

Another way to protect the environment is by recycling waste materials like plastic, paper, and bottles.

In conclusion, protecting our environment is the responsibility of everyone. If we take care of our environment, we will live a healthier and better life.

Thank you.
