The pupils already know how to make simple speeches. This lesson builds on that knowledge by teaching them how to express appreciation and gratitude through a vote of thanks.

INTRODUCTION

A vote of thanks is a short speech delivered to express appreciation and gratitude to people who have contributed to the success of an event, programme, meeting, or ceremony.

It is usually given at the end of an occasion.
