The teacher will the lesson with the aid of mp3 player, pencils, crayon, magic boards, plastic alphabet, flashcards showing animals and baby, etc.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – LISTENING SKILLS
Note for the teacher, hearing or auditory processing — refers to the awareness of sounds and placing meaning to those sounds.
ACTIVITY 1 – SOUNDS FROM MP3 PLAYER
Teacher uses mp3 player to guides the children to listen carefully and identify sounds played by the player. For example – sounds from our environment such as animals, engines, police or ambulance siren, crying baby, ABC song, etc.
Note – If the children identify animal sound like dog, flashcard showing dog should be display as follows:

ACTIVITY 2 – MAKING SOUNDS WITH OBJECTS
Teacher uses objects like drug, bell, wood, iron, etc. to guide the children to make sounds with them.
LESSON 2 – COMMUNICATION SKILLS
ACTIVITY 1 – SIMPLE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE TEACHER AND THE PUPILS
Teacher create a simple communication between him/herself and the children.
Teacher – Hello children
The children – Hello uncle/aunty
Teacher – How are you today?
The Children – We are fine, thank you.
Teacher Where is Seun?
Children – He’s here. He’s there.
Etc.
ACTIVITY 2 – SIMPLE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE CHILDREN
Teacher uses simple activities to create effective communication among the children.
LESSON 3 – SCRIBBLE FREELY
ACTIVITY 1 – GRIPPING PENCILS AND CRAYON
Teacher continue to ensure the children hold amd grip their pencils and crayons properly.
ACTIVITY 2 – SCRIBBLE FREELY
Teacher allows the children to scribble freely by moving their fingertips. The children can use crayons and pencils on their books or magic boards.
This is to ensure the children hold and grip their pens and crayons firmly.
