By the end of the lesson, most pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s Activities – Display charts showing different types of community for the pupils to identify and describe.
Pupil’s Activities – Identify and describe a community.
Teacher’s Remark – Listen to the pupils and participate actively in their discussion. Give a great cheer for active participation. Discuss the concept of community and types of community.
Copy as I write on the board.
MEANING OF COMMUNITY
A community is a collection of a group of people in a given place.
TYPES OF COMMUNITY
There are three (3) types of community, namely –
1. Traditional communities
For example, towns and villages.
2. Modern communities
For example, urban
3. School community
For example, schools.
LESSON 2 – REVISION AND WEEK LESSON ASSESSMENT
As stated in performance objectives or lesson evaluation.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Explains the meaning of community.
Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the teacher’s explanation.
3. State the types of community.
Pupil’s Activities – Give examples of different communities.
4. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
Pupil’s Activities – Copy as the teacher writes.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
