By the end of the lesson, most pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –
1. explain what conscience means.
2. state the meaning of joy and guilt.
The pupils can identify and describe elements of good and evil.
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
1. Chart showing people interacting with one another.
2. Drama or story

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s Activities – Display chart showing people interacting with one another for the pupils to identify.
Pupil’s Activities – The pupils are interacting.
Teacher’s remark – Give a great cheer quick response. Based on their responses, tell the pupils a short story that involves conscience and ask them questions that lead to the meaning of conscience.
MEANING OF CONSCIENCE
Conscience is a person’s moral of right and wrong that guide one’s action or behaviour.
That’s, the will to do good or evil.
When you do good, you will be happy. No body do evil and stay happy.
MEANING OF JOY AND GUILT
Joy is the state of mind after doing what is right.
Guilt is the state of mind after doing what is wrong.
LESSON 2 – REVISION AND WEEK LESSON ASSESSMENT
As stated in performance objectives or lesson evaluation.
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Tells pupils a short story that lead them to define conscience.
Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the teacher’s short story and define conscience.
3. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
Pupil’s Activities – Copy as the teacher writes.
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
Ask pupils to explain conscience.
