The pupils can describe and demonstrate some of the exercises in physical fitness.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
Physical fitness is the ability to do certain jobs, sports or daily activities.
Physical fitness exercise is the daily activity that enhance and improve our physical fitness.
Exercises in physical fitness are planned, structured, and repetitive for the purpose of conditioning the body.
TYPES OF EXERCISES PHYSICAL FITNESS
The types of exercises in physical fitness are as follows:
1. Push up
2. Squat
3. Bent knee sit up
4. Sit up
5. Sit and reach
6. Jogging
LESSON 2 – PHYSICAL FITNESS EXERCISING
Teacher organizes and supervises physical fitness exercises (20 minutes)
IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICAL FITNESS EXERCISES
The importance of physical fitness are as follows:
1. Save money
2. Strength – power
3. Flexibility
4. Improve your health
5. Smartness
6. Reduce your risk of injury
7. Increase your life expectancy
8. Promotion of general health
LESSON 3 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST)
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions.
2. Teacher displays chart showing some of the exercises in physical fitness.
3. Teacher organizes pupils in groups or pairs depending on the size of the class.
4. Teacher asks pupils identify and describe the contents of the chart.
Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the group’s or pair’s activities to identify and describe different types of exercises on the chart.
5. Teacher uses pupil’s responses to introduce the lesson – Physical Fitness Exercises.
Pupil’s Activities – Pay attention to the lesson introduction to understand the concept of physical fitness exercises.
6. Teacher leads the pupils to discuss the meaning of physical fitness and physical physical exercises with appropriate examples as stated in the chart.

7. Teacher uses the chart to demonstrate different types of exercises in physical fitness.
