3. type and save a short essay or composition on Microsoft PowerPoint.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION
SIMPLE EASY ABOUT MYSELF
My name is AyanfeOluwa. I come from a well reputed family of Lagos. I am studying in Primary 4. My parents are teachers.
We are two in my family, my sister and I. My younger sister is in Primary 1.
I love my parents because I learned a lot from them. When I grow up, I want to be like my parents.
CREATING MICROSOFT POWERPOINT
PowerPoint is a presentation program developed by Microsoft.
CREATE A PRESENTATION
1. Open PowerPoint.
2. In the left pane, select New.
3. Select an option:
- To create a presentation from scratch, select Blank Presentation.
- To use a prepared design, select one of the templates.
- To see tips for using PowerPoint, select Take a Tour, and then select Create, .
ADD SLIDE
1. In the thumbnails on the left pane, select the slide you want your new slide to follow.
2. In the Home tab, in the Slides section, select New Slide.
3. In the Slides section, select Layout, and then select the layout you want from the menu.
ADD AND FORMAT TEXT
1. Place the cursor inside a text box, and then type something.

2. Select the text, and then select one or more options from the Font section of the Home tab, such as Font, Increase Font Size, Decrease Font Size, Bold, Italic, Underline, etc.
3. To create bulleted or numbered lists, select the text, and then select Bullets or Numbering.
SAVING
1. On the File tab, select Save. Or
2. Under Save As > Recent Folders, select Browse, pick a path and file folder, and then name the file.
Select Save.
LESSON 2 – PRACTICE 1
Works the pupils through about procedures or lets the expert handle.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps – he/she,
1. Revises the previous lesson based on the pupil’s related knowledge or experience.
Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in lesson review.
2. Guides pupils to a short simple essay about themselves.
Pupil’s Activities – Follow the teacher’s format to write a short simple essay about themselves.
3. Demonstrates how to type and save on Microsoft PowerPoint.
Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the teacher and watch how he/she demonstrate.
4. Allows the pupils to practice typing and saving on Microsoft PowerPoint.
Pupil’s Activities – Practice typing and saving on Microsoft PowerPoint.
5. Guides pupils to type and save on Microsoft PowerPoint.
Pupil’s Activities – Follow the teacher’s instructions to type and save on Microsoft PowerPoint.
6. Checks pupil’s responses and gives necessary support.
Pupil’s Activities – Take correction and ask questions where necessary.
7. Summarizes the lesson on the board.
Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in lesson summary and write as instructed.
