CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – BLENDING “oe” SOUND 

ACTIVITY 1 – BLENDING “oe” SOUND 

The “oe” sound is usually found in the endings, but not in all cases.

For examples –

toe, hoe, doe, foe, shoe, poem, woe

Teacher leads and guides the children to pronounce and blend the sound correctly using appropriate words and pictures. 

 

LESSON TWO – BLENDING “oa” SOUND 

The “oa” spellings is found only in the middle of one-syllable words.

For examples – Coat, Boat, Goats, Float, Roast, Groan, Coach

Teacher leads and guides the children to pronounce and blend the sound correctly using appropriate words and pictures. 

 

LESSON 3 – BLENDING ow SOUND 

The “ow” spellings is also in the ending words, but not in all cases.

For examples – blow, bow, bowl, crow, flow, flown, glow, grow, growth, know, low, own, row, show, slow, snow, sow, throw

Teacher leads and guides the children to pronounce and blend the sound correctly using appropriate words and pictures. 

 

LESSON 4 – THREE LETTER WORDS

Three letter words are made of three alphabetical letters. The common three letter words are –

the, and, for, are, but, not,

you, all, any, can, had, her,

was, one, our, out, day, get,

has, him, his, how, man, new,

now, old, see, two, way, who,

boy, did, its, let, put, say, she,

too, use, god, age, big, bad, ago,

few, hot, mad, red, sad, six, ten,

can, dog, ant, dad, mom, etc.

 

MAKING SIMPLE SENTENCES WITH THREE LETTER WORDS

The dog is big.

The cat is sad.

I see the red dog.

The man is sad.

The red bug is big.

The big van is red.

I see the big van.

The man is big.
