LEARNING OUTCOME
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. state the meaning of weather.
2. identify the factors affecting the weather.
3. name the standard weather instruments.
RATIONALE
Weather is the state of the atmosphere at a particular time.
Weather are important for planning our day to activities especially in farming and production of goods and services and instruments used for these planning is called weather instruments.
The sun, cloud, wind, temperature and moisture (rain) are factors that affect our day to day favourable weather.
The concept of weather will enable people to understand and appreciate the importance of weather in planning.
LEARNING MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
A chart showing the weather conditions.
A chart showing the weather instruments.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE
The pupils can tell when it cloudy and about to rain. They are aware of different things that comes along with the rain – storm thunder, wind, dust, etc.
