PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –
- define IT.
- say what IT is all about.

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of picture showing computer.
METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

ACTIVITIES 1 – IDENTIFY THE FOLLOWING IT DEVICES
Teacher’s remark – The above mentioned are called IT Devices.

ACTIVITIES 2 – STATE THE USES OF EACH IT DEVICES
- It is used for making and receiving calls.
- It is used for sending and receiving messages.
- It is used for checking time.
- It is used for setting alarm.
- It is used for setting reminders.
ACTIVITIES 3 – EXPLAIN WHAT WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT
IT – Information Technology is all about information. That’s, send and receiving information. It is also about organizing information.
PRESENTATION
- To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
- To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
- Guides the pupils to identify and explain the meaning of IT.
- Pupil’s Activities – Say the meaning of IT.
CONCLUSION
- To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
