MEANING OF NATURALLY OCCURRING DRUGS

Naturally occurring drugs are drugs that come directly from plants, animals, or minerals in nature.

 

EXAMPLES OF NATURALLY OCCURRING DRUGS

2. Opium (from poppy plant)

3. Cocoa leaves (used in some medicines)

 

MEANING OF SYNTHETIC DRUGS

Synthetic drugs are drugs made by humans in a laboratory using chemicals.

2. Tramadol (painkiller)

3. Codeine syrup (cough medicine)

4. Antibiotics like Amoxicillin
