PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

sew and mend torn cloth (practical).

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON ONE – INTRODUCTION 

Sewing is the use of needle and thread to stitch or join pieces fabric together.

Mending of torn is the fixing of torn cloth by sewing using machine or hand.

PRACTICAL WORK ON SEWING AND MENDING OF TORN CLOTH 

REVISION AND WEEK 9 LESSON ASSESSMENT 

As stated in performance objectives or sewing by mending a torn cloth. 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Guides and allows pupils to properly sew and mend torn cloth with machines or hands.

Pupil’s Activities – Pay attention to the teacher’s instructions on how to properly sew and mend torn cloth with machines or hands.

 

CONCLUSION

• To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
