LESSON 1 – SHARING HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE 

WELCOME TO THE SCHOOL/SHARING HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE 

Teacher organizes a welcome speech and activities to such as,

1. Hello children, you are welcome to the world of schooling.

2. How are you?

3. Hope you all enjoy your holiday?

4. Did you have a fun during the Christmas and New Year?

5. What did you do?

6. Did you travel? If yes, where…

7. What indoor and outdoor activities do you enjoy most? Did you play video game with tab, watch cartoons, play hide and seek with friends and family, etc.

8. What place do you visited? Did you visit amusement part, zoo (to see animals like lion, elephant, tiger), beach, etc. Did you see Santa Claus?

9. Did you enjoy playing with your toys?

Once again, you are welcome back to school.

LESSON 2 – SIMPLE GREETINGS 

Teacher say good morning children depending on the time of the day, displays and uses chart showing simple greeting to explain and demonstrate simple greetings in the class.

Greeting is the way of showing respect to people, parents, teacher and elders.

For examples,

In the morning we greet “Good Morning”.

In the afternoon we greet “Good Afternoon”.

In the evening we greet “Good evening”.

When we are going to bed at night we greet “Good night”.

When we are going out we greet “Goodbye”.

We can also say, “Hello or Hi there”. Hello dad/mom/uncle, hi friend, etc.

 

LESSON 3 – SIGHT WORDS 

Sight words are commonly used words that are easily learn and recognize instantly, without needing to sound them out.

Teacher can use any of the activity mainly for the period for the children to familiarize, identify and pronounce as sighted. Then, move to the next and next until the children can identify them all.

Teacher display four letter words with their corresponding objects guide the children to identify and pronounce.

LESSON ONE – SHARING HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE 

1. Teacher welcome the children back to school, uses different questions to guide them to share their holiday experiences. Also, give a simple welcome back speech.

Children’s Activities – The children share their holiday experiences by responding to series of questions asked by their teacher and the appreciate the welcome speech.

LESSON TWO – SIMPLE GREETINGS 

2. Teacher says good morning children (depending on the time) and uses the chart showing children demonstrating greeting.

Children’s Activities – The children respond to the greetings, examine and describe the activities demonstrated on the chart.

3. Teacher uses the chart to guide and lead the children to greet and demonstrate how to greet at different times.
