PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives – know when to take exercise.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The pupils can perform basic exercise.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

 

1. Materials for doing some exercises e.g. sportswear.

2. Pictures or chart showing people doing some exercises.

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

WHEN TO TAKE EXERCISE 

1. Regularly before sunrise. (in the morning).

2. Regularly after the sunset (in the evening).

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Leads pupils to the field.

3. Ask pupils about the atmospheric condition – whether cold, cool, warm or hot.

 

Pupil’s Activities – Identify the present condition of the atmosphere.

4. Uses the weather conditions to discuss the appropriate time to take exercise.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate in the class discussion.

3. Summarizes the lesson on the board.

Pupil’s Activities – Copy as instructed.

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
