Drug abuse is the wrong use of drugs. It happens when people take drugs without a doctor’s prescription or in the wrong quantity. Drug abuse is very dangerous to human health.
People who abuse drugs may suffer from illness, addiction, or even death. It can also lead to poor performance in school and bad behaviour.
Drug abuse can be prevented by proper education and using drugs only when prescribed by a doctor. Parents, teachers, and health workers should teach children about the dangers of drug abuse.
In conclusion, drug abuse is harmful and should be avoided by everyone.
2. Effects of Normal and Excessive Use of Drugs
Drugs are substances used for treating illness and improving health. When used properly, drugs are very helpful to human beings. However, when drugs are misused or taken in excess, they can become very dangerous.
The normal use of drugs means taking the right medicine prescribed by a doctor and in the correct quantity. This helps to cure diseases, reduce pain, and improve health. When people use drugs correctly, they recover quickly and remain healthy.
On the other hand, excessive or wrong use of drugs is very harmful. It can lead to addiction, where a person cannot stop taking the drug. It may also cause damage to important organs in the body such as the liver and kidneys. In some cases, excessive drug use can lead to death.
Drug abuse can also affect a person’s behaviour and performance in school or work. It may cause confusion, laziness, and loss of concentration.
