CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

INTRODUCTION

Tuber and grain are one of the energy giving foods.

 

LOCAL ENERGY GIVING FOODS 

TUBER ORIGIN

1. Yam

2. Covoyam

3. Cassava

4. Potatoes,  etc.

 

GRAIN ORIGIN

1. Maize

2. Millet

3. Guinea corn

4. Rice, etc.

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Revises the previous lesson based on the pupil’s related knowledge or understanding.

2. Displays sample of tuber and grain energy giving foods.

3. Lets pupils identify and state tuber and grain related energy giving foods.

4. Uses the sample to introduce and classify energy giving foods according to tuber and grain origin.

Pupil’s Activities – Observe the food stuff closely, identify and separate them according to their origin.

5. Summarizes each lesson on the board.
