PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to –

  1. Display different paper craft
  2. List the uses of paper craft

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:

  1. Paper
  2. Gum
  3. Thread
  4. Pencils
  5. Scissors or blades

 

METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

PUPIL’S ACTIVITIES 1 – IDENTIFY THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS DISPLAY

 

  1. Aeroplane
  2. Kite
  3. Mat
  4. Boat
  5. Hand fan

 

PUPIL’S ACTIVITIES 2 – IDENTIFY MATERIALS USED FOR MAKING OBJECTS IDENTIFIED 

The are made with papers.

 

Teacher’s remark – Any objects made with papers are called paper craft. 

 

TEACHER’S/PUPIL’S ACTIVITIES 3 – DISCUSS THE MEANING OF PAPER CRAFT 

 

Paper craft is a hand crafts made with paper.  Paper crafts are beautiful objects made from paper.

 

TEACHER’S/PUPIL’S ACTIVITIES 4 – DISCUSS THE USES PAPER CRAFT 

  1. Paper crafts are used for making decorations.
  2. Paper crafts are used for plan.
  3. Paper craft are used for making masks.
  4. Paper crafts are used for making toys.
  5. They are used for making greeting cards.
  6. Paper crafts are used for making boxes like cartons.

PRESENTATION

  • To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
  1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
  2. Displays paper craft objects.
  3. Pupil’s Activities – Identify objects made with papers.
  4. Discusses with the pupils, the meaning and uses of paper craft.
  5. Pupil’s Activities – Participate in class discussion.

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
