CONTENT OF THE LESSON
LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITIES
Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – Assists pupils to label and store their collections of simple machines in the science corner, if available. Further discuss the storage of household and other simple Machines.
STORAGE OF SIMPLE MACHINES
1. Cutleries
Storage – In the kitchen cabinet, basket, container or on the dining table.
2. Plates and cups
Storage – Plastic rack, dishware or glassware.
3. Mortar and pestle
Storage – In the store or kitchen.
4. Cutlass, hoe, axe, wheelbarrow, etc.
Storage – Store or farm warehouse.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Assists pupils to label and store their collections of simple machines in the science corner.
Pupil’s Activities – Collect and store simple machine in the science corner.
3. Discuss storage of household and other simple machines.
Pupil’s Activities – Active participation in the discussion.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
