PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to:
- Describe a memorable event correctly.
- Discuss some major role of the event.
- Pick out important features in any event with emphasis on time, place, occasion and significance.
- Write some relevant piece on the memorable football match of football match of two paragraphs.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
- Picture charts of existing events.
- Model descriptive passages from course books.
- Write on the topic as home work.
METHOD OF TEACHING – Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

PRESENTATION
- To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
- To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
- Guides pupils to talk about their experiences.
- Pupil’s Activities – Talk about their experiences with regard to the event.
- Supervises the pupils work.
- Pupil’s Activities – Read over the work on the board then copy them down into the composition book.
- Correct pupil’s work.
- Pupil’s Activities – Write on the topic as work to do.
CONCLUSION
- To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
