CONTENT OF THE LESSON

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION 

A crime is an illegal act or an offence for which a person can be punished by the authority. Common crimes are Falsehood, Theft, Rape, Murder, Advance free fraud (419), Sales of contaminated food, Dealing in fake hard drugs, etc. All these crimes are punishable by law.

 

 

MEANING OF NATIONAL SECURITY POLICY 

National security is the protection of lives and properties from various forms of threats. National Security Policy is the security guidelines designed for a country how to address security needs of the people and the states. 

 

CREATE AND IMPLEMENT POLICY THAT TO MONITOR A NATIONAL SECURITY 

 

 

LESSON 2 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (TEST) 

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Teacher organize the pupils in groups depending on the size of the class.

3. Teacher asks the pupils as groups to state how we can ensure security in Nigeria.

4. Teacher asks each of the group to put their views on paper.

5. Teacher displays a sample of national security policy document, if available or chart showing copy of the document.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils recognize and appreciate the national security policy.

6. Teacher uses the pupil’s views on paper and national security policy document to introduce lesson and leads a discussion on policy that helps to monitor a national security.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupil pay attention to lesson introduction, participate actively in class discussion and analyze the importance of effective policy that helps to monitor a national security.

6. Teacher summarizes the lesson on the board using appropriate lesson evaluation.

Pupil’s Activities – The pupils participate actively in summary summary by responding correctly to most of the questions and write as instructed.

 

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
