PREVIOUS LESSON –
TOPIC: EYES MOVEMENT
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –
1. identify the beginning and end of written words and sentences.
2. recognize that sentences are read from the top to the bottom of the page.
3. recognize that books are read from the front (beginning) to the back (end).
ENTRY BEHAVIOR
The pupils can identify left and right, top and bottom.
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of course books like textbook or novel.
METHOD OF TEACHING
Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Guides pupils to hold reading materials correctly.
Pupil’s Activities – Each pupil holds the reading materials correctly.
3. Reads the storybook.
Pupil’s Activities – Listen to the story read and identify word that start and end the story.
4. Lets the pupils, individually read the story and points to the words.
Pupil’s Activities – Read the story and points to the words.
5. Summarizes the lesson.
Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the summary.
CONCLUSION
To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
