CONTENT OF THE LESSON
ADVERBIAL CLAUSES
For example –
While you were playing I was working.
Don’t use the cell phone while you are driving.
As I was walking down the street, I saw James driving a Porsche.
He went to work after he fed the cats.
He went abroad after he finished his studies.
After you have finished your work, you may go home.
Don’t talk while she is singing.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Explains adverbial clause of time.
Pupil’s Activities – Identify target adverbial clauses.
3. Guides pupils to use adverbial clauses of time.
