By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives – say something about themselves.

The children can say their names.

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of chart showing a male and female.

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.
Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
CHILD’S PERSONAL DATA
Encourage the children to talk about themselves.
For examples – say their
- Name
- Sex
- Name of school
- Their class
- Their brother or sister names, etc.
PRESENTATION
To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Displays chart showing a male and a female.
3. Lets pupils identify each child by sex.
Pupil’s Activities – Identify themselves as a male or female.
4. Encourages the children to say something about themselves.
Pupil’s Activities – Talk about themselves.
CONCLUSION
- To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
