CONTENT OF THE LESSON 

LESSON ONE – INTRODUCTION

Booting is the process of starting computer and loading the operating system.

 

 

BOOTS A COMPUTER SYSTEM 

 

Teacher’s Activities – Guides and Allow pupils to follow the below steps to boot a computer system. 

 

1. Connect the system unit to the power source.

 

2. Turn on the power button ON the monitor.

 

3. Ensure the monitor is ON.

 

4. Turn ON the power of the system unit.

 

5. Allow the computer to boot.

 

LESSON TWO – WEEKLY ASSESSMENT – As started demonstrated by the pupils. 

 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;

2. Displays an already connected computer set.

Pupil’s Activities – Identify different parts of connected computer systems.

3. Demonstrates how to boot a computer system.

Pupil’s Activities – Observe the teacher demonstrate how to boot a computer system.

 

CONCLUSION

  • To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
