PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils should have attained the following objectives –

1. explain the meaning of safety.

2. state and explain the types of safety.

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOUR

The pupils can identify some of the safety tools.

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of chart showing chart showing safety tools.

 

METHOD OF TEACHING

Choose a suitable and appropriate methods for the lessons.

Note – Irrespective of choosing methods of teaching, always introduce an activities that will arouse pupil’s interest or lead them to the lessons.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON  

LESSON 1 – INTRODUCTION 

MEANING OF SAFETY 

Safety is the protection from harm, dangers and to understand dangers.

There are three (3) of safety,

  • Normative safety
  • Substantive safety
  • Perceived safety

 

TYPES OF SAFETY

1. NORMATIVE SAFETY 

 

Normative safety is the safety that meets the safety standards and practices.

 

2. SUBSTANTIVE SAFETY 

Substantive safety is the safety that has the real – world history is favorable weather or not standards are met.

 

3. PERCEIVED SAFETY 

Perceived safety is the level of safety feel by the users.

 

LESSON 2 – REVISION AND WEEKLY ASSESSMENT 

 

PRESENTATION

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:

1. Revises the previous lesson based the pupil’s related knowledge or  understanding.

 

2. Leads a discussion on the concept of security and types.

Pupil’s Activities – Participate actively in the class discussion.

3. Summarizes each lesson on the board.

Pupil’s Activities – Copy as instructed.

 

CONCLUSION

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
