By the end of the lesson, the pupils should have attained the following objectives (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) and should be able to identify some local fruit crops.
The pupils can identify different fruit crops.
The teacher will teach the lesson with the aid of:
1. Samples of fruits – pawpaw, banana, pineapple, etc.
2. Chart of fruit trees – orange, mango, guava, banana, etc.

CONTENT OF THE LESSON
Teacher’s Activities – Display samples or chart showing different fruit crops for the pupils to identify and state their favourite fruits.
Pupil’s Activities – Orange, mango, etc. I like pawpaw.
Teacher’s remark – I like _______ too. Crops are grown and harvest by farmers. Fruits are one of the crops grown and harvest by farmers. There are a lot of fruit crops in our community. Note all the fruits identified by the pupils on the board and ask them the meaning of fruit crops.
MEANING OF FRUIT CROPS
Fruit crops are the part of flowering plants that produce the seeds as food.

To deliver the lesson, the teacher adopts the following steps:
1. To introduce the lesson, the teacher revises the previous lesson. Based on this, he/she asks the pupils some questions;
2. Presents and identifies fruits according to classes.

4. Teacher’s/Pupil’s Activities – List the fruits they like to eat most.
5. Summarizes the lesson on the board.

To conclude the lesson for the week, the teacher revises the entire lesson and links it to the following week’s lesson.
